Nothing beats a hot, steamy shower after a long day—except maybe one that smells like a spa without the spa price tag. These DIY shower steamers turn your bathroom into a fancy eucalyptus-filled oasis… minus the judgmental lady at the front desk and the overpriced cucumber water.
Aromatherapy can help with a great deal of things but my personal favorite aromatherapy benefit is relaxation.

How to Make Easy DIY Shower Steamers
Supplies:
- ½ cup baking soda
- ½ cup Epsom Salts
- 2 tbsp water
- 15 drops of Eucalyptus Oil
- 15 drops Peppermint Oil
- Silicone mold (To fill the one I used, you need to x4 this recipe.)

It is super inexpensive, and creates an awesome experience. I have always bought them already made, but I am in my "Do it my Self" era.

Directions:
1) Add the dry ingredients to a large bowl, then add the water and stir.
2) Add the essential oils to the bowl, and stir well.
3) Using the back of a spoon, press mixture to the mold cavities, then press down with the spoon to pack it down real good.
4) Let set in a dry place for 24-48 hours.

How to Use Shower Steamers
To use, let the water run becoming hot and steamy. Place your steamer at the corner on the floor of the shower, out of the direct steam of the shower. When the hot water hits the steamer the essential oil vapors will release, the best part.
Each Shower Steamer will work for 1 shower. By the end of your shower you will feel rejuvenated.
How to Store Your Homemade Shower Steamers
Your eucalyptus shower steamers will last for up to 1 year, if stored correctly in an airtight container like a mason jar. You can top them off with a few drops of essential oils to make sure they have the same scent of the essential oil as before!
