Baked Jalapeño Ranch Pork Chops- Easy Recipe that is budget friendly for large families
I am a busy mom of four, so, it's no secret that I'm a fan of oven recipes. I mean, who doesn't love being able to just pop something in the oven and peace out for a bit, am I right? Well, let me tell you about these baked pork chops - they were like a freakin' game changer!
But here's the thing, I got to warn ya - these babies are addicting. Like, seriously, you might just find yourself going back for seconds... and thirds...
Turn these chops into a meal with a vegetable ( I did roasted Green beans) and a Carb (I did Stuffing!)
I used to think I didn't like pork chops, but it turns out I just needed to prepare them differently. I really wanted to like them because they are a cheap, High Protein way to feed a big family! This makes them a a budget-friendly protein option.
The trick here is to choose a baking dish that's not too big. You want the pork chops to be fairly snug so that their juices don't evaporate while cooking. It makes the pork chops juicier.
The other thing I love about this dish is that it can be easily scaled to make a larger batch if needed or if leftovers are desired.
List of Ingredients:
7-8 Boneless pork chops
1 8oz container of Jalapeno Ranch Cream Cheese
Fresh Chives
Mustard Powder
Salt
Pepper
1/2 Ranch seasoning packet, or just to taste
Oh, and you need a 9x13 baking dish
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Add pork chops to oven safe dish.
- Spread the cream cheese over the porkchops evenly, covering them the best you can
- Add Salt, Pepper, Mustard powder, and Ranch seasoning to taste (I found that you only needed half the packet! and then add the chopped chives to the top
- Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes, let sit for about 5, and then serve
